These guys are great. Reasonable pricing, solid work. My mother-in-law was quoted $8k in repairs from the dealership. These guys fixed the problem and charged $1.2k. I've taken all three of my family's cars in for routine maintenance and always been pleasantly surprised by the bill and quality of service. This is definitely our place of choice, now.

Mas the owner is easy to talk to and only recommends only areas that needs to be fixed immediately. Honest and straight to the point. Highly recommended for Japanese automobile repairs.

I went to Tokyo Automotive fully expecting to pay through the nose for an A/C repair. The previous mechanic told me the evaporator core had a leak (very expensive repair). I took it to them with that information and he told me he wouldn't do that repair till he confirmed that was the actual problem. Turns out the compressor had a leak in one of the seals. Tokyo saved me a huge headache and probably close to 1500 dollars by correctly diagnosing the repair. Not only did he fix the problem but he diagnosed and did the full repair in 4 days. AWESOME MECANIC great pricing.

I came here based on all the positive Yelp reviews! I just had to check them out for myself. Took my 2002 Corolla in for several things that needed to be done. The gentleman who works here was very honest with me; shared with me some recommendations on what services are vital right now and which can probably wait a while. Since the work was going to take an hour or so, I decided to take a walk to Knotts Berry Farm which is just around the corner (I have a season pass). While I was there, they called me to inform me that my car was ready. When I arrived back at the shop, I was surprised to see that they gave me a discount, I suppose it was because I was a first-time customer who needed a lot of work done. Plus, I realized that their shop had already closed but they worked overtime until they finished all the work on my car. I offered to pay them extra, but they said "No, it's ok. We're happy to help you." Real honest folks here who work hard. They made me feel cared for, that they look out for the good of their customers. That's probably one of the reasons why they've been in business since 1978. Will return again!

Mas and his team at Tokyo Automotive are hands down THE best mechanics! My family and I have been taking our cars here for about 7 years now. They are always so friendly and helpful! I had an 89' Lexus that was my baby and Mas took excellent care of it. It was kind of a junky car from the outside, but so special to me. Mas fixed it up in no time and it drove like a dream! These guys are so knowledgeable, trustworthy, and hardworking! They'll always tell you the honest truth, give you the best prices, and get the job done as soon as possible. If you have any car problems, take it to Tokyo Automotive!!!

A hose in my A/C system sprung a leak - I stopped by Tokyo Automotive without knowing anything about them - they were just near on my way to work. Within about 5 minutes of parking, I had a good quote for the labor on the hose replacement, and the A/C recharge + labor. The gentleman then called the dealer to get a quote on the part - Yikes - dealer wanted $160 for the new hose. I bought a new one on Amazon for $20, left the car with them in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. =)

Mr. Mas is amazing! He was able to fix my car and found out the parts were cheaper than I expected. He's does amazing work here and I will highly recommend this place. I'll definitely come back to get my car fix in the future.
